Step inside the historic monastery kitchen of the Ursulines in Naxos Castle, where meals were prepared over 250 years ago, and immerse yourself in a premium tasting experience like no other.
This 60-minute private session at Avaton 1739 includes a guided tasting of six carefully selected wines from small island producers, including Trampelo Odd Blend, Malagouzia Moraitis, ALO Kostaki, Sclavos Alchemist, Santorini and Fabrika Orgion.
Each wine is paired with fine Greek island cheeses and charcuterie, accompanied by aromatic citron olive oil and traditional Greek rusk bread.
Beyond the flavors, this experience includes a private tour of the Avaton 1739 Museum, where you'll hear stories of Greek mythology, Dionysus (god of wine, born on Naxos), the Venetians, Kazantzakis and the history of Naxos Castle.
You'll also see rare wine-related artifacts such as the Sfouni-Methyron and the Potiri tou Dikaiou, symbols of justice and tradition in ancient Greek drinking rituals.
