    Description

You will begin your journey at Demeter's Temple, located in the village of Sangri, 1.5 km south of Ano Sangri. This ancient temple, dating back to around 430 BC, is one of the earliest examples of Ionic architecture and was constructed entirely from the island's own marble.

Next, you will head to Damalas, where you will visit the renowned pottery workshop of Manolis Libertas. His craftsmanship is a true reflection of the island's rich artisanal heritage.

You will then proceed to the charming village of Halki. Here, you will explore the historic Vallindras citrus distillery and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the picturesque streets, showcasing its traditional character.

Just a short distance from Halki lies Kaloxylos, a small but captivating village. You will tour the recently renovated olive press museum, and take a moment to relax over a coffee or refreshing drink, accompanied by a slice of homemade pie.

Your final destination will be the village of Apiranthos, aka 'the marble village', where you will visit the local museum. Following this, you will meander through the marble-paved alleys and conclude your day with a delicious meal at a traditional tavern, sampling local specialties (optional).

Throughout the tour, you will be guided by professional drivers and an English-speaking local tour leader, ensuring a rich and informative experience.
