Enjoy a guided bus tour through some of Naxos' most beautiful villages and lesser-known historical landmarks, with plenty of stops along the way.
Your first stop is the Temple of Demeter, near the village of Sangri. Along with the impressive temple ruins, you will have the opportunity to visit the small archaeological museum and see findings uncovered at the site. Built entirely of marble in the late 6th century BC, the temple is one of the island's most important ancient monuments. Entrance fees are not included.
Next, visit Damalas, a charming village in the heart of the Tragea Valley. Watch a demonstration at the island's only remaining traditional pottery workshop and explore the restored olive press located just a few metres away.
Continue to Chalki, a picturesque village where you can stroll through narrow marble-paved alleys, visit a historic citron distillery dating back to 1896, and enjoy a coffee while taking in the village's elegant atmosphere.
Travel into the mountainous interior of Naxos and stop at the famous village of Apeiranthos, also known as the "marble village". Wander along its marble-paved streets and capture beautiful photographs of its distinctive architecture.
Then, continue to Apollonas, a traditional Cycladic fishing village on the northern coast of the island. Enjoy free time for a swim or relax at one of the seaside cafés and tavernas.
Before following the coastal road back to Naxos Town, admire the impressive 11-metre unfinished Kouros statue, dating from the 6th century BC.
On the return journey, enjoy breathtaking views of the Tower of Agia, the coastline, and the neighbouring islands.
