Description
Discover the authentic countryside of Naxos on a guided e-bike experience that blends scenic riding, cultural heritage and hands-on local traditions. The tour starts at 9:00 AM and lasts approximately 5 hours, covering around 35-40 km with an easy to medium difficulty level and about 600 meters of elevation, making it suitable for riders comfortable with longer distances supported by e-assist bikes. Minimum age is 12 years old.
The journey begins with a scenic ride through the traditional villages of Glinado, Vivlos and Sangri, offering panoramic views and a glimpse into authentic rural island life. The first major stop is the historic area of Sangri, where you will visit the ancient Temple of Demeter and explore the nearby museum, gaining insight into Naxos' rich archaeological heritage.
The experience continues with a ride to a traditional hilltop farm, where you will help feed the animals before taking part in a hands-on cheese-making experience guided by a local shepherd. Afterwards, enjoy a farm-to-table lunch featuring homemade specialties and fresh local products in a rustic setting with genuine Greek hospitality.
The tour concludes with a relaxing return ride through the countryside. Throughout the experience, you will be supported by e-assist bikes, a trained local escort and headsets for guidance and storytelling, ensuring a smooth and immersive journey.
