This hike is an excellent opportunity for beginners to explore and appreciate nature. All-level hikers will enjoy this peaceful stroll through the picturesque landscape of olive groves, dry stone walls, and wheat fields. The circular route starts at Sangri village, winds through the olive groves, and loops back to the starting point. The path follows a circular route alongside a beautiful olive grove, leading to the temple of Demeter, which you will have the chance to visit. The entrance fee to the temple is not included in the price. This activity is a shared activity but the maximum group is size is just 8 people.
The trail runs parallel to the temple, offering breathtaking views of the hills and trees. There will also be time to visit the archaeological site of the temple of Demeter which was built in the 6th century BC and also hosts a museum with the area's important findings. This is a lovely, easy trail suitable for all skill levels and backgrounds. So, if you want a serene nature walk with some sightseeing, this is the perfect choice!

Natasha is an environmental educator with a degree in Environmental Sciences and a Master's in Environmental Education. Starting her career at 15, she has worked in tropical, arctic, and Mediterranean climates, creating programs for Cycladic associations, NGOs, and social cooperatives, and designing Erasmus+ projects for youth and adult education.
She has trained in sustainability, nature connection, permaculture, nutrition, ecosystem design, nature guiding, travel guiding, community building, and social economy. Now living in Naxos, she draws inspiration from the Cycladic ecosystem, with a mission to restore our connection with nature.
