Description
Join a renowned French sculptor who now resides in Paros, for an exclusive 3-hour marble carving experience at his private workshop near Kambos village. Under his expert guidance, you will have the opportunity to craft your very own unique piece of sculpture using the famed Parian marble. Throughout the lesson, you will explore various marble sculpture techniques, including the 'taille directe' and the use of advanced tools such as power tools, pneumatic chisels, diamond discs, and Dremel tools, all provided on-site.
Select your stone from the atelier, choosing between Parian "Lychnitis" or Naxian "Crystalina" marble. After cleaning and preparing your stone, you will learn how to 'read' its natural form, then shape and refine your design, bringing it to life through the traditional art of marble carving. The experience culminates in polishing your creation to perfection. Immerse yourself in the timeless tradition of marble sculpture and remember: Marble is eternal, and now it is your turn to leave your mark in time.

Unique experience
It was fantastic! Jean-Baptiste Leullier, the French sculptor, was super friendly and made learning about marble carving so much fun. We each got to create our own souvenirs (the quality of mine surprisingly good even if I do say so myself lol), and the whole experience was really hands-on and enjoyable. And great value for money! Really something different and enjoyable. If you’re in Paros and looking for a unique activity I really recommend Jean Baptiste.

Unique experience even for those who come to know marble sculpture for the first time. Jean Baptiste he guides you throughout the experience, literally speaking to the marble and imparting his passion and knowledge to you. Calm environment, amazing view of the island of Antiparos and most importantly working with natural light, all this makes you enter the magic of creating with marble!
Such a great way to appreciate marble carving. Perfect souvenir to bring home. Great to learn about local marble. Jean-Baptiste is passionate about his craft and a great teacher.
This was INCREDIBLE. Favorite thing I did in paros. You must try it! I have a new appreciation for today’s sculpture artists and also the ancient artists who created marble statues in the ancient times without power tools. If you have the chance to rent an ATV, you can take it to this workshop. We loved it and got to take the marble souvenir home. You are allowed to create whatever you want (within skill and reason) so brainstorm ideas before you arrive. Pro tip: bring a good mask and glasses. Wear clothes that you don’t care about getting dusty. Be ready to shower afterwards :)

Super expérience. Jean-Baptiste vous accompagne à chaque étape pour créer la pièce de votre choix. On ne voit vraiment pas le temps passer. On voudrait presque faire une deuxième séance pour peaufiner son œuvre. Jean-Baptiste est très sympathique et vous transmet réellement sa passion.

A unique hands on experience watching the sun setting over the sea and learning how to create your own marble work of art. Great way to do something “ different” in Paros rather than yet another beach! Great for families and loved watching my teenage children using electric diamond cutters for the first time. JB is chilled and relaxed. A perfect teacher!
