Begin your experience with a comfortable transfer from your hotel to the port of Pounta, where a short 10-minute ferry ride across the Aegean brings you to a different rhythm of life. Antiparos welcomes you with its whitewashed houses trimmed in blue, narrow lanes shaded by bougainvillea and eucalyptus, and an inviting atmosphere of lighthearted elegance.
Your first stop is the Hora, the island's picturesque main town. Stroll along its lively pedestrian market street toward the Venetian Kastro, a fortified residential complex built in 1440 to protect locals from pirate raids. Still remarkably intact, this architectural gem features adjoining two-story houses that form a protective perimeter wall.
Next, head south to explore one of the island's natural wonders: the famous Cave of Antiparos. Hidden 160 meters underground and accessible via approximately 400 steps, the cave reveals a breathtaking chamber adorned with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. Ancient inscriptions carved into the walls testify to centuries of visitors, including figures from antiquity.
