Step aboard the "Christina-Maria", a lovingly preserved traditional fishing boat, and set off on a truly authentic Aegean adventure from the picturesque pier of Agia Anna in Naxos.
This sunset mini cruise begins at 16:00 PM, inviting you to experience the magic of the sea as the island slowly shifts into golden hour. Guided by Captain Stamatis, a seasoned fisherman and natural storyteller, you will not only try your hand at traditional fishing but also hear captivating tales of the sea passed down through generations.
As the sun begins to dip into the horizon, painting the sky with warm hues of orange and pink, relax on deck and soak in the serene beauty of Naxos from the water, a view that few get to experience.
The journey comes to a peaceful close as you return to Agia Anna pier, carrying with you the essence of island life and the memories of an unforgettable evening at sea.

Rarely, bad weather may also mean that, for your safety, a different itinerary is used. Here, no refund is possible. The tour organizer will always offer an equivelant itinerary taking the same amount of time and visiting equally impressive places (just those not so prone to bad weather) and offering an equally enjoyable experience that you are sure to treasure.
We weren't really sure what to expect (2 Adults, 1 15y.o.), but our hotel recommended it, and it became a highlight of the vacation.
If you're expecting a corporate, organized to the detail trip - this ain't it. You go out with Stamatis (great host) and his family. You pull up the nets that he set the previous evening and see what you might be having for lunch. If you like, you can work with Stamatis and his hand to get the fish out of the nets and ready for the fishing pot. The good fish (snapper, parrotfish, octopus and others) are grilled. The others are in the pot for soup. Both were excellent.
Thus, the lunch (soup and grilled fish) is served with bread, greek salad and wine with the family for a great experience. You can go to the beach and swim ( we chose not to because it was a bit windy), but Stamatis is eager to please. You'll go and swim where you want (if you know) and the experience of "working" a fishing boat is not to be missed.
Really, really glad we did this.
