Embark on a one-of-a-kind fishing adventure on the beautiful island of Naxos. This unique experience offers you the chance to join a traditional fishing trip on the charming fishing boat "Christina-Maria."
Join this trip for an unforgettable sunset fishing trip. Departing at 4:00 pm, this trip offers an exciting fishing experience with the added beauty of a Naxos sunset. Your experienced fisherman, Stamatis, will guide you through the traditional process of fishing with nets. You'll have the opportunity to help lay out the nets and reel in the "catch of the day." Watch as the nets are pulled in, teeming with fresh fish, and learn the secrets of the trade.
If you wish to fish on your own, Stamatis will provide you with fishing lines, allowing you to enjoy the fishing experience independently. After the exciting catch, the boat will take you to one of Naxos' stunning beaches, such as Rina, Agios Sozon, Spedo, Koufonisia, Iraklia, or others depending on the weather. Here, you can relax and swim while the crew detangles the fish and prepares a delicious meal. Savor freshly grilled fish or a hearty fish soup, paired with local wine. Enjoy the serene ambiance as the sun dips below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the sea. The sunset trip concludes as we return to the port of Agia Anna.

Rarely, bad weather may also mean that, for your safety, a different itinerary is used. Here, no refund is possible. The tour organizer will always offer an equivelant itinerary taking the same amount of time and visiting equally impressive places (just those not so prone to bad weather) and offering an equally enjoyable experience that you are sure to treasure.
We weren't really sure what to expect (2 Adults, 1 15y.o.), but our hotel recommended it, and it became a highlight of the vacation.
If you're expecting a corporate, organized to the detail trip - this ain't it. You go out with Stamatis (great host) and his family. You pull up the nets that he set the previous evening and see what you might be having for lunch. If you like, you can work with Stamatis and his hand to get the fish out of the nets and ready for the fishing pot. The good fish (snapper, parrotfish, octopus and others) are grilled. The others are in the pot for soup. Both were excellent.
Thus, the lunch (soup and grilled fish) is served with bread, greek salad and wine with the family for a great experience. You can go to the beach and swim ( we chose not to because it was a bit windy), but Stamatis is eager to please. You'll go and swim where you want (if you know) and the experience of "working" a fishing boat is not to be missed.
Really, really glad we did this.
