Embark on a one-of-a-kind fishing adventure on the beautiful island of Naxos. This unique experience offers you the chance to join a traditional fishing trip on the charming fishing boat "Christina-Maria."
Start your day at 8:30 am as you set off from the port of Agia Anna. Your experienced fisherman, Captain Stamatis, will guide you through the traditional process of fishing with nets. You'll have the opportunity to help lay out the nets and reel in the "catch of the day." Watch as the nets are pulled in, teeming with fresh fish, and learn the secrets of the trade.
If you wish to fish on your own, Stamatis will provide you with fishing lines, allowing you to enjoy the fishing experience independently. After the exciting catch, you'll be taken to one of Naxos' stunning beaches, such as Rina, Agios Sozon, Spedo, Koufonissia, Iraklia, or others depending on the weather. Here, you can relax and swim while the crew detangles the fish and prepares a delicious meal. Savor freshly grilled fish or hearty fish soup, paired with local wine.
The morning trip concludes as you return to the port of Agia Anna at 14:30 pm.

Rarely, bad weather may also mean that, for your safety, a different itinerary is used. Here, no refund is possible. The tour organizer will always offer an equivelant itinerary taking the same amount of time and visiting equally impressive places (just those not so prone to bad weather) and offering an equally enjoyable experience that you are sure to treasure.
What we loved:
- Stamatis taking us to very pristine locations where we could swim to Rina caves and other beaches
- Witnessing how fish are caught and the net being pulled for over a few kilometers was something we've never seen before
- The food was great. The soup, salad, and grilled fish combo was a perfect lunch
What we liked:
- The timing that Zastours mentioned was different from when the tour started. We got to the Agia Anna pier by 7:45am, but the tour didn't start till 8:30am. And we also thought the tour ended at 2pm, but it ended at 3:30, which we didn't mind at all because we got to spend more time in the wonderful sea and we met some other travelers, and our hosts were so hospitable! 🙂 But maybe Zastours can specify that schedule could be a little here and there going forward.
Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves.
We loved the fishing trip. Lunch was especially amazing. We brought 3 children 7,9 and 11 and they loved it! Thank you very much for such a special Greek experience.
Delicious fresh fish and swimming
