Description
Spend a full day outside Athens and discover one of the most charming seaside towns in Greece. Nafplio is the first capital of modern Greece, famous for its atmospheric old town, narrow alleys, and Venetian architecture. Along the way, you will enjoy two of the most important landmarks of the Peloponnese.
Your day begins with a drive towards the Peloponnese and a stop at the Corinth Canal, where you can enjoy the spectacular view and take photos from the bridge. Afterwards, continue to Ancient Epidaurus, home of the famous sanctuary of Asclepius and the ancient theater that stands out for its perfect acoustics and excellent preservation.
The tour continues to Nafplio, a beautiful coastal town with castles, seaside promenade, traditional shops, and picturesque squares. Take a guided walk with your driver, learn about the history of the town, and use your free time to enjoy lunch, explore the old streets, or visit Palamidi Fortress for panoramic views of the gulf.
