Description
This 4-hour semi-private fishing tour in Santorini offers guests a rare chance to experience the island's traditional fishing lifestyle.
The tour begins with a complimentary transfer service from or near your accommodation to Vlichada Harbor, where the authentic wooden boat "Giorgaros" sets sail at 09:00 AM under the guidance of Captain Anthi and her experienced crew.
Fishing is the central focus of the excursion. Guests are introduced to various local techniques including handlines, fishing rods, and depending on weather conditions nets.
Everyone on board is invited to take part in the fishing, with hands-on support and expert guidance throughout the process.
While the main experience is fishing, the journey also features a scenic cruise along Santorini's dramatic southern coastline.
Guests can admire natural landmarks such as the Red and White Beaches, the Lighthouse of Akrotiri, the Rock of "Indianos" and the sculpted volcanic cliffs of Vlichada. There is also time for swimming and snorkeling, with equipment provided.
The tour concludes with a freshly prepared onboard meal, featuring the catch of the day, grilled vegetables, and local appetizers, served with a selection of complimentary drinks.
After returning to Vlichada Harbor, guests are provided with return transportation back to their hotel or nearby drop-off point.
