    Description

Discover the lesser-known yet deeply fascinating side of Milos on a private guided road tour that takes you through the island's geological marvels and historic landscapes. On the northeast side lies the Aggeria Mine, a strikingly vast excavation site that captivates with its scale and the astonishing variety of colors across the mineral-laden subsoil.

A powerful symbol of Milos' mining legacy, it offers an unforgettable visual experience. Travel next to Zefyria, the island's former capital, a quiet village where time seems to stand still. The Holy Temple of Panagia Portiani rises above the old settlement, a reminder of the village's historical and spiritual significance.

In the remote area of Paliorema (Theiorychia), walk among the ghostly remains of the sulfur mining plant that ceased operations in 1960. Rusty wagons still rest on their rails, abandoned tunnels open like wounds in the rock, and personal items left behind by workers paint an authentic picture of life in the industrial era.

This open-air museum unfolds beside a beach with yellow-hued pebbles shaped by sulfur, inviting you to swim in crystalline waters while surrounded by haunting beauty. Continue to Kalamos, the island's inactive volcano. Though it last erupted nearly 90,000 years ago, it still exhales steam through surface cracks, accompanied by the pungent scent of sulfur. From this vantage point, enjoy a breathtaking view of Agia Kiriaki beach and the island's southern coast.

The tour concludes at Provatas Beach, one of Milos' most picturesque locations. Here, those who wish may embark on the catamaran-style boat "Hrysovalantou" either to start their journey at sea or to end the day watching the sunset from the water.
